Gazi Husrev-begova biblioteka u Sarajevu učestvuje u projektu „Resilience“

On 31 March 2021, in Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Dženana Husremović, Vice-Rector for Teaching at the University of Sarajevo and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alibašić, Vice Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Islamic Studies UNSA, with M. Sc. Osman Lavić, Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library director, M.Sc. Hamida Karčić, GHB Secretary and Šahsena Đulović, GHB Public Relations Associate met.

The meeting was organized to discuss the Resilience project (REligious Studies Infrastructure: tooLs, Expert, conNections and CEenters), which is funded under the EU program Horizon 2020, and it is a long-term program that, in short, represents the construction and establishment of research infrastructure in the field of religious studies.

This project, so far, consists of 13 partners (universities, institutes, academies) across Europe, but this number will increase over time. One of the partners is the University of Sarajevo. On behalf of the University of Sarajevo, a special contribution will be given by the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo, but also by the Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library as a treasury of written heritage, which is certainly a very important segment for building European scientific research infrastructure in the field of religious sciences.

All partners of this project, including the University of Sarajevo, hope that, in this way, they will further expand their capacities and provide new and broader perspectives to researchers and students.

It is an honor and a pleasure for Gazi Husrev-Bey’s Library to be a part of such a project because its mission is to be at the service of researchers in every way.
